My internship journey so far..

I've been awfully busy lately with work. The weather here is getting better day by day. Sunny and cooling. As much as i enjoy such weather, i'm stucked with work. But to be honest, i'm quite happy working here. Been receiving many compliments from my superiors on my work performance. They said i move quick, really observant, hardworking and i work with brain. Yess... Their remarks, especially the owner's constant compliments really motivates me to work even harder. She loves putting both her hands on my face and say 'You are a really good girl, you work very very well and i appreciate it'... *on cloud nine*... Hehe.. Anyway, at least i know my efforts did not go down the gurgler. Sometimes they puji me until so geng but i think i'm not that good only lor. You can say i'm humble but i really don't think i'm thaat good.

Apart from work, i've been cooking a lot too in my room, which is more like a studio apartment with a kitchenette attached. Although i'm allowed to go back to the hotel for meals, but i feel so lazy.. it's not far away, just 5 minutes walk. But I enjoy going out on my off-days, let my hair down, shop for groceries and just look at things around me.. then come back to cook a nice and satisfying meal for myself. As lonely as it may sound, but it's blissful. Spending the entire day to myself, reflecting myself and reminiscing the sweet and bitter memories.

I feel that it's a good start too to start cooking now so that i'm well-prepared to cook for my husband in the near future. At least i know what and where i should improve on by experimenting a few dishes myself. Not being mushy, but my bf said he absolutely loves it whenever i cook for him. Hehe. He said the food i cook taste extra delicious because he could feel that i cook with love <3 >

Well, i'm alright now. Coming back this time to Switzerland was OK. The initial stage (the first 3 days) was terrible. So homesick but i adjusted pretty fast and i'm coping well now. Met a few nice colleagues and we've been hanging out from time to time and would chat over a drink. Life's pretty good so far. Working isn't too bad after all, not as bad as i thought it would be.

Oh and lately i've been indulging in hell lots of junk food. I've been buying huge packets of Paprika chips! It's so addictive and i can't stop! Feel like couriering some back home for my loved ones to try. I've been eating lots of cookies and drinking lots of hot chocolate too at work. I'm getting worried about my weight now.

My szechuan style chicken with bamboo shoots :) Very tasty gar... hehe

When i'm lazy or not in the mood, i would just fry an omelette to complement my noodles.

Or when i'm super lazy, i will just cook plain instant noodles.

Had a mini sleepover with Patrice at my place. We chatted till 4am! I believe we could go on..

I made tong yuen for our supper :)

Went to Bern to visit Eean. Ended up spending whole day walking around Bern and found myself in love with this little city. Will definitely make a trip to Bern again soon.

My boss (whom is also the owner of the hotel) forced me to go to Luzern to witness the Fasnacht festival. I wasn't interested but she was so insisting and even gave me a day off. She said since i'm in Switzerland, i have to see what does a Fasnacht carnival looks like. I had no choice but to go.

It's a festival where they celebrate the beginning of a fasting season for a type of Christian prayer called 'Lent'. They would dress up in weird costumes and this is my favourite costume :)

Treated myself with 'Ngau Lam' rice after witnessing the carnival.

It was Patrice's 21st birthday... and i bought her this :) Made me realised that all of us (the banana gang) turns 21 in Switzerland. I always believe it is 'fate' that brought us together :)

I went to Geneva Motor Show with Marco, my chef colleague (in german, motor show is called Auto Salon). It was really nice of him to take me to this exhibition. A real eye-opener.

Pagani bla bla bla... yes i managed to see many sexy and sophisticated cars..

But this Audi A6 caught my attention the most. One car that i would buy and drive next time is this car.. not other racing cars or mercedes. This car is not-over-the-top, elegant and absolutely sexy (if i'm the one driving it, of course *wink*)

The beautiful view that greets me everyday (the path i use to walk back and forth to work)

This was captured in the evening. The view from my apartment.

Was taken in the evening. I absolutely adore such colours of the sky <3

So mesmerizing.. i swear i can just gaze upon it by my window all evening.
